| Touted as Singapore's First Wheelchair Accessible Bus, the first of the 150 buses were put into service on 27 Jun 06 on route 21 (St Michael's to Pasir Ris). All 150 units will be bodied by ComfortDelgro's own design, and features a manually operated ramp at the rear door to facilitate the movement of wheelchair bound passengers.
In addition, 100 of them will be the first public buses to be fitted with the ZF 6HP500 in Singapore, whilst the remainder would be mated with a 4 speed Voith gearbox. |
